Mc KUSICK TILE STUDIO

Donated by:

Robert & Charmion McKusick

& Kathleen McKusick Condit

This unique family business was located in the

foothills of the Pinal Mountains from 1949 to 1996.

The tiles were produced by methods dating back

thousands of years.

Designs depicted birds and animals of the

Southwest including coyotes, roadrunners, quail,

cardinals, owls, javelina, and jack rabbits as well

as Native American motifs.

Visit the permanent display in a

stand-alone exhibit inside the main museum.

The McKusick's are continuing to add ceramic and mining artifacts

to their exhibit so visit often to see the changes.

ORIGINAL DISPLAY ACQUIRED MARCH 15, 2003
